Some of the top teams in Overwatch eSports are set to compete in the upcoming Overwatch Cup 2. The event has revealed a full list of teams participating and times for the competition as a $2,000 prize pool is up for grabs.
The Overwatch Cup 2 will be played out in 4v4 double-elimination format with nine teams confirmed so far, including ANOK, LDLC, No Heaven and Team Eager. The champion will take home $1,200 in prize money, with the runner-up taking $500 and third and fourth place each earning $150.
Broadcast of The Overwatch Cup 2 will be handled with Stream.me, a platform that lets viewers take in the action of several players and casters simultaneously in 4K HD. The platform also gives viewers the ability to combine chatrooms and audio from multiple sources at need.
Competition begins on Monday, November 7th at 5pm CEST and runs for five days, leading up to a grand final on Friday, November 11th at 5pm CEST.
It’s another week of eSports competition for Overwatch, and we’re excited to see it play out! While The Overwatch Cup 2 isn’t exactly the richest prize in the competitive Overwatch scene, we’re always interested in seeing this game played at a high level.
